Academics & Research within Psychology
The master's thesis and doctoral dissertation are fundamental elements to the vast majority of psychology graduate programs available in the United States, although a few master's programs offer completion of comprehensive exams in lieu of a formal thesis. In all cases, psychology grad students will be required to conduct a substantial amount of individual research in the course of earning their degrees. Annual Review of Psychology (ARP)

Behavioral and Brain Sciences (BBS)

Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology (JACP)

New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM): Psychiatry
The NEJM is arguably the most prestigious scholarly journal in the medical field, reporting on a wide range of related specialties including psychiatry. Readers can access research articles, reviews, and commentary at this website.
Psychological Bulletin
Published by the American Psychological Association, the Psychological Bulletin provides, "evaluative and integrative research reviews and interpretations of issues in scientific psychology." Both qualitative and quantitative reviews are included.
Psychological Review
Another American Psychological Association publication. Psychological Review offers articles that "make important theoretical contributions" to any and all areas of scientific psychology including systematic evaluations and alternative theories. It additionally provides commentary on the scientific psychology under the title of "Theoretical Notes."

Apps, Tools & Tech in Psychology
The explosion of recent technology breakthroughs, like big data and mobile devices, to name just two, have given rise to changes in every corner of the digital information world, including both psychology and education. The result is a whole new approach to learning and practicing psychology, one that will undoubtedly prove more expansive and inclusive at the same time. Apps for Psychology
APA Journals Pro, from the American Psychological Association, is a free app that allows users to search more than 160,000 articles from a variety of professional journals, from those recently published to archived articles going back to 1984.
AP Psychology
Educational application that employs Adaptive Learning Technology, a "flash card" system that the developer claims significantly lessens the time needed to learn new terms and definitions in preparation for the AP Psychology Test.
Personality Types
This application is designed to provide information and tools related to the sixteen Myers and Briggs personality types based on the work of Carl Jung. It is available for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
Psych Drugs
This free Android app provides the user with easy access to important information on psychotropic medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and anti-anxiety medications. The Apple version of this application can be found here.
PsycExplorer
PsycExplorer is a comprehensive application that provides access to news, information and journal articles, blogs, podcasts and more for psychology students, professionals and those simply interested in psychology. It is for iPad and iPhone.
PsychGuide
Geared toward psychology students, the PsychGuide app is short for the Psychology Student Survival Guide, which the developers describe as, "designed to inform psychology students at every stage of their educational journey." The app is available for iPad and iPhone.
